I'm no party guy. And out of the blue , i received two invitations for birthdays on two consecutive Saturdays. Talk about irony. I was never into parties really, and i can scantly remembered my previous own 'party'. In the first place it wasn't really a party at all, just a small family occasion and one or two of my aunts visiting me. I think it was somewhere back in '93 or '94 during pre-school. The party ended as soon as the mini-cake is distributed.

But still i was plesantly surprised by both invitations and gladly went. No blaring music, no booze, no that kind of things, i like it. The family-and-friends atmosphere was perfect, just mingling around to catch up and get to know new people. I could do with that.

Not much was said. In fact, not even a breath was muttered. It was half expected. Last time? Could be. If it is like that, then it will be like that. I am powerless to overturn it. Left early. :
Thursday had a supposed class outing. Only half turned up but we still went on, rented bikes for a super bargain of 8 bucks for about 5+ hours. Amin led us from East Coast to Town and back via Kallang, City hall and such. Plus i was starting to shown symptoms of fever didn't help, i tried to shrug it off but it persisted. The foward journey was quite taxi, partly cause i haven't cycled for quite a while and also of my health. Chut got into a freak accident when he skidded over the drain cover and fell of his bike. Got some nasty wounds at his knees and hands. It looked like red welts and lacerations and there was actually a hole at one of the wounds at his knee. A few good natured passersby applied some first-aid and his father came and fetched him home. Later had a minor skirmish with a foul-mood ah pek who kept grumbling to himself at us. Another skirmish with the police/guard at the esplanade because we climbed the 'I WAS HERE' structure outside.

Had lunch at Cineleisure, then made our way back, the afternoon sun poundering on my skin. I was getting headaches but i didn't care cause it was really fun. Especially thedownhill ride from the top of Benjamin Sheares bridge at the ECP highway. The view up there was terrific and the acceleration downwards was exuberant. Reach back about 4+ and just in time to return the bikes and went straight home. Alvin, Samuel, Shahril and me all dozing off in 966 on the way home.

Upon reaching home, took a cold shower and took my temperature. 39.4 degree celsius. I went to bed. The fever only subsiding towards the morning. The next day, fever had gone, but still felt feverish. I didn't want to take any chances like i did before, and i took a leave from training. I didn't want the fever to prolonge like it did before when i went for training despite not feeling well. Once bitten, twice shy.

On wednesday had a mock exam for chemistry for the recent topics. I have to admit that i didn't exactly do much thorough revision like i envisioned myself doing. I really wanted to pass the paper as it would be a good morale booster for me, and not going for the always postponed remedial class. I guess its not meant to be too.

I'm one person you will find not constantly mentioning about approaching exams and such. Don't add insomnia and paranoia to your already bulging list of problems. Take it in your stride. I'm not saying that you take it easy, its you should know what your're doing, be confident and tackle it with full might. I don't mean to diss anybody, its just a random thought.
