Actually i'm not exactly taking a break. I'm just plain lazy to update my blog. But now since i just came back from IJ's Outdoor Adventure Camp for the J1s, i got some stuff to sprout nonsense from. It was the usual 3d 2n camp at the MOE campsite at Labrador, the former building of Pasir Panjang Sec. It was quite rustic and dilapidated, but it had its charm and splendour of a campsite somehow.

The guys got the hall for acccomodation while the girls got the dorms. The S42 guys occupied the stage and set up camp there. Our first day activities were the low elements like those obstacles kind of things before lunch. Then we proceeded to the rock wall, zipline and abseil. During the late evening had orienteering, which was the only activity organised by the school which was a CG acitivity. S42 came in third, although we started last as we received the map last. Night time was uneventful, rather quiet.

Second day started off with the intermediate elements. The class less enthusiastic today, might be caused by the food or the weather. Midway through, the weather worsened. We could see the black clouds swirlling right over us together with the strong winds which was a terrific sight. The cloud totally engulfed the sky over us, and though it was passing, it was really huge. Because of safety measures, all activities were momentarily stopped and we had some war games such as kungfu master and immortal.

The rain only drizzled for a while, then we resumed on the high elements before adjourning for lunch which was field cooking. The food was bland but much better than the food from the cookhouse. Then we combined with S46 to practice for campfire item, the national day song dance. They were a let down, except one of them who joined us. Practiced for 2 hours over and over again under the tutoriship of Fengru.

The other groups' items were really creative and well executed. Our turn quite early and unexpected. There was a technical glitch and we were caught unaware. The first few steps were a disaster and everyone was lost. But later on everyone's nerves were soothed and ended up okay. The campfire dragged on for quite sometime, partly because of the emcees were were quite a drag and the forfeits by Amin and Adeel which were very entertaining. Saggy became quieter as the campfire moved on, Only our class were cheering and shouting as if in hostile territory. Somebody asked me to write this down, and i obliged, althought saggy were down it was pretty girl Pui Ser who kept our spirits up with her cheerings and shoutings.

After the campfire, we stayed behind to talk to Ms Fong, do some reflections and play games till late night. Once again, at night nothing much happened. Next morning had PT, then area cleaning and we had to clean the loos. Slacked around for a while. Then came the prize presentation. We didn't win anything but i wasn't disappointed. Although this wasn't the most fun of camps i had so far, this was certainly the most meaningful of them all(there were only 3 by the way).

After reaching back school, went for class lunch at BK, played a silly session of truth and dare session before going home to catch some winks.
